I do this by simply dragging and dropping the new file (with the same exact filename as the old file) into dropbox.

I unlinked both instances of EPIM on my PCs using the "Stop using Dropbox" feature.

I then went to my online Dropbox account and deleted the 'Essential PIM Databases' sub-folder found in the newly-created 'Apps' folder. I started EPIM on the first computer and chose the Data folder found in 'C:\Users\*****\App Data\Roaming\Essential PIM Pro'.

The same link gets preserved and I can even look at previous versions of that same file by right clicking.
